The experience of hypnosis is not so unusual or strange. It can feel very similar to countless other moments in your life where you were absorbed in a zone, lost in thought, enthralled by a book, or perhaps simply meditating. This is because, meditation is actually the closest you can come to a state of hypnosis without being guided there as you would experience in hypnosis. I often refer to it as taking my clients on a journey, a metaphorical trip in your mind or imagination. It is simply, letting go, relaxing and following along.
